I am a multimedia producer based in Singapore, currently working on Focus 焦点. the country’s longest-running Chinese-language current affairs programme. My work explores international and regional developments, as well as major domestic events and policy issues.
Previously, I worked on newsroom transformation and strategy while producing digital content for for 8world's social pages. I experimented with news formats designed for vertical video, with a particular interest in human-centred stories among everyday Singaporeans.
My interest in Southeast Asia and China’s tech sector led me to Shanghai in 2019, where I interned as a visual reporter with TechNode. There, I produced stories ranging from product reviews to a mini-documentary on professional gamers, and interviewed venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.
I see journalism as a way to make complex issues accessible and bring greater attention to people and their communities. While studying Communication Studies at Nanyang Technological University, I managed the WKWSCI Volunteer Programme, which promoted skills-based service. In 2018, I led a team to Laos, where we reported and filmed stories about local communities.
